In response, about 100 rockets were fired at Israel from the territory of the sector, Islamic Jihad said, and shelling continues at present. Israel announced the call for up to 25,000 reservists, the order was signed by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, reports The Times of Israel.

The IDF reports air raid sirens in the Israeli cities of Yavne and Lachish. The army's Twitter account posted a video of the destruction of an Islamic Jihad rocket launcher in Gaza. The report says that shelling of civilians in Israel was planned from it.
