Roskomnadzor blocked Sakhkom and Sakhalin.Info. Sahkom was often denounced because of coverage of the war in Ukraine

Roskomnadzor blocked the Sakhalin news portals Sakhkom (Sakh.com) and Sakhalin.Info (Sakh.info) by decision of the Prosecutor General's Office. It is reported by Roskomsvoboda. The editors are aware of the blocking and are solving the problem.

The company did not receive warnings from departments.

The decision to block was made in connection with "calls for riots, extremism, participation in illegal mass actions."

According to SOTA, Sakhkom was "frequently denounced" because of its coverage of the war in Ukraine, among those who complained about the portal were the local "Council of Soldiers' Mothers" and the leadership of the regional ONF.

After the outbreak of the war, Roskomnadzor demanded that the Russian media, when covering the invasion of Ukraine, use only the wording "special operation". After the introduction of the law on "fakes" about the Russian army, The Insider, Radio Liberty, Current Time, Crimea.Realii, Voice of America, New Times, Taiga.info, DOXA, Ekho Moskvy were blocked ”, “Rain”, “Medusa”, BBC Russian Service, Deutsche Welle and others.
