In the “LNR” after almost six months, they began to bury the dead – the head of the Luhansk OVA Sergey Gaidai

The authorities of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic have only just begun to bury the people who died in Rubizhne, Sergey Gaidai, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration (OVA), said on Telegram. According to him, they are burying local residents who died in March-April. “63 people were buried the other day,” Gaidai wrote .

In June, it was reported that due to the large number of spontaneously buried people and the downpours that wash away these burials, an outbreak of cholera and other infectious diseases began in Mariupol, after which the city was quarantined. In March-April, several thousand local residents died there, who were buried in inadequate conditions.

“There are downpours that destroy spontaneous burials. The residents of Mariupol did these burials throughout the war – they buried people in yards, parks, squares, on the hills, ” said Vadim Boychenko, mayor of the city, who left Mariupol at the end of March.

At the same time, the acting Minister of Health of the "DPR" Alexander Oprishchenko claimed that "there is no outbreak of cholera either in Maruipol or in other cities of the Donetsk People's Republic." However, he noted that "the situation is under control, samples are being taken."
