More than 1,600 alleged saboteurs were detained in Ukraine during the war – Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

During the war, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies detained more than 1,600 people, probably involved in sabotage activities. This was told by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeny Enin on the air of the national telethon.

According to him, spotters and accomplices of saboteurs agree to cooperate with the Russian military for 5-10 thousand hryvnias. For this money, they provide Russia with information about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the places of arrival of missiles.

“Treason of the state for $300 is almost 30 pieces of silver. However, the activities of the police and the SBU to counter these manifestations are quite effective. Step by step, including with the support of our international partners, we discover these traitors, and then justice awaits them, ”said Yenin.

One of the latest high-profile revelations of Ukrainians suspected of sabotage was made in mid-June. Then the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine stated that Andrey Naumov, the former head of the Main Internal Security Department of the SBU, could collect and transfer secret data about the Chernobyl nuclear power plant to Russia.
