Roskomnadzor found no violations in the sale of the book “Summer in a Pioneer Tie” about a teenager in love with a counselor

Roskomnadzor did not find violations in the distribution of the book "Summer in a Pioneer's Tie", which tells about the love of a pioneer in his counselor. Izvestia writes about it.

The department explained that the novel is marked as 18+, which means that its circulation does not violate the law "On the protection of children from information that is harmful to their health and development."

At the same time, Roskomnadzor emphasized that they share the concerns of parents about the content of the book and are ready to support the tightening of legislation that would protect minors from such products.

Ksenia Mishonova, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Moscow Region, addressed Roskomnadzor with a request to check "Summer in a Pioneer Tie". In the Telegram channel, she said that readers complained about the book, and stated that it was necessary to “introduce a complete ban on LGBT propaganda.”

“We have received angry messages and comments about the sale of this book in stores. I am asked to influence the situation. We contacted Roskomnadzor. They answered that there were no violations during the distribution of this publication, since it is marked 18+. Of course, I categorically support the proposal to introduce a complete ban on LGBT propaganda in Russia in all its manifestations. I am against the appearance of such stories in books, films, plays, etc., even if they are covered by 18+.

“Summer in a Pioneer Tie” became the main bestseller in the first half of 2022 in the All-Russian Book Rating in the “Fiction” category, and took second place in the overall ranking in all genres.
