Security forces came with searches at once to six houses of the Crimean Tatars in Dzhankoy and Dzhankoysky district of Crimea. This was reported by Crimean Solidarity with reference to local activists.
Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov reports that many lawyers cooperating with Krymskaya Solidarity have their mobile communications disabled: “Again, searches have been carried out at the homes of activists and citizen journalists – mobile communications are being cut off for me and several other colleagues. Recently, searches have been carried out at 4 am and the mobile network of lawyers has been switched off point by point. This is done so that the victims could not get through to lawyers, people did not gather, and correspondents could not take photos and videos of these lawless actions of the security forces.”
One of the searches took place in the village of Bliznegorodskoye at the home of activist Enver Krosh, who was tortured with electric current in 2015 in the basement of the police department in the city of Dzhankoy. The second search was at the home of Vilen Temeryanov, a journalist with Crimean Solidarity, who had been repeatedly detained before. Two more searches were carried out in Dzhankoy and in the village of Mirnovka, Dzhankoy district, in the houses of Crimean Tatars – Seityay Abbozov and Murat Mustafayev. The fifth search took place at the home of activist Edem Bekirov in the village of Ozernoye, Dzhankoy district. The sixth search took place in the house of Rinat Aliyev in the village of Timofeevka, Dzhankoy district.
All six Crimean Tatars were detained after the searches and taken to the Crimean Federal Security Service.
