Two Izvestia journalists removed from train and detained in Estonia

Izvestia journalists Ksenia Soldatova and Dmitry Timofeev were detained in Estonia. They were removed from the train, the film crew was heading from Narva to Tallinn. It is reported by IZ.RU. According to media reports, they filmed material about the restriction of the issuance of visas to Russians and the deprivation of the T-34 tank of the status of a monument. The journalists' phones were confiscated, the reasons for the detention are still unknown.

Izvestia also writes that journalists visited the country as tourists, “but could not ignore the latest events”

Apparently, this refers to the statement of Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu, which he made on August 11. Reinsalu said that Russian citizens who have Estonian Schengen visas will be banned from entering the country. The ban will not affect close relatives of citizens and holders of a residence permit in Estonia, diplomats and their family members, employees of transport companies, as well as those who enter the country for humanitarian reasons.
