The court approved the fine to Russian citizen Alexei Veselov, who discussed the war with his wife in the dining room of the sanatorium. This is stated on the website of the Supreme Court of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
As OVD-Info reported, Aleksey and Oksana Veselov were detained on March 18. According to the court order, Oksana shared her worries about relatives in Kyiv, where her 87-year-old mother is located, with her husband. The woman also lost her cousin.
During the conversation, Veselov replied that there should not have been any hostilities at all. At that moment, there were women in the dining room who overheard the conversation and began to call the Veselovs "Bandera" and demand their eviction from the sanatorium. The women prevented them from getting into the elevator, and after that they informed the security forces about their spouses.
At the end of March, the Nalchik City Court imposed a fine of 30,000 rubles on Veselov due to a conversation with his wife under the article on “discrediting” the army.
