Earlier today, the Crimean authorities announced the "detonation of ammunition" in a warehouse in the village of Mayskoye, Dzhankoy district. About 2,000 residents were evacuated. The Ministry of Defense called the explosions a "sabotage", as a result of which a military warehouse was damaged, and civilian objects were damaged: power lines, power plants, railway tracks and residential buildings.
On August 9, satellite photographs were published showing the site of the explosions near the military airport in the village of Novofedorovka. Prior to this, the head of the RT television channel, Margarita Simonyan, claimed that ammunition detonated in the warehouse, no one was injured, and the equipment was intact.
Later it became known that a person was killed in the explosions, and 13 were injured . The Ministry of Defense claims that there was a detonation of ammunition in the warehouse, but there was no shelling. In turn, ISW analysts noted that the explosions occurred simultaneously at different sites, which makes the version of an accidental fire impossible.
