The Soviet court of Ufa found the leader of the DDT group, Yuri Shevchuk, guilty in the case of an administrative offense of “discrediting” the Russian armed forces (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This is reported by Pavel Chikov.
The musician was fined 50 thousand rubles. Shevchuk himself was not present at the court session. At Shevchuk's request, Alexander Peredruk's lawyer announced his position on the case. Human rights activist Chikov published the text of a statement in which the musician claims that he has always been against wars and that any problems of a political nature should be resolved through diplomacy. Shevchuk also spoke out against the war in the Donbass and the SVO in Ukraine.
Earlier, a linguist and psychologist did not find any discredit in Shevchuk's speech at a concert in Ufa.
"Fontanka" published a list of "banned artists" with 37 names, it is distributed in the internal chats of promoters and concert organizers in Telegram and WhatsApp. The list included Shevchuk. In May, he spoke at a concert with a speech: “Motherland, friends, this is not the president’s ass, which must be procrastinated and kissed all the time. Motherland is a beggar grandmother at the station selling potatoes. This is the motherland." After that, a protocol was drawn up against the musician about the “discrediting” of the army, but the court returned the case to the police to eliminate the shortcomings. On July 15, the Dzerzhinsky Court of St. Petersburg registered an administrative case against Shevchuk about "discrediting the Russian army." Against the backdrop of administrative cases, the group's concerts began to be postponed or canceled altogether.
