In Yekaterinburg, nationalists forced a drag queen to apologize for performing the Russian anthem with an LGBT flag in his hands

In Yekaterinburg, nationalists from the “Russia Conservative” movement forced travesty artist Sergei Nechaev (Bomba Cybersisi) to apologize to the Russian people for performing the Russian anthem with an LGBT flag in his hands. The Yekaterinburg edition of Itʼs my city drew attention to the publication of the video.

“I voluntarily want to apologize to the Russian people for insulting their national feelings. I am grateful to the guys for having convincingly conveyed to me the understanding that such behavior is unacceptable. I regret my act and this will not happen again, ”said the artist.

The video was published in the movement's group on VKontakte. “Any inclinations to offend the national feelings of the Russian people will be severely suppressed,” the comment under the video says.

An administrative case was also opened against Sergei Nechaev under Article 17.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the procedure for the official use of state symbols of the Russian Federation”). The artist claims that with his performance he wanted to support the state.

On August 7, Nechaev, dressed as the Cybersis Bomb, sang the Russian anthem in a Yekaterinburg nightclub. He was holding an LGBT+ flag. After the video with Nechaev's number was published on social networks, the police drew up a protocol against him.
