The chat moderator of the 1ADAT Telegram channel Salman Tepsurkaev died. Olga Sadovskaya, lawyer of the Team Against Torture, spoke about this in an interview with Katerina Gordeeva.
“We know for sure that he died. We could not save this person, ”Sadovskaya said.
Tepsurkaev was abducted in September 2020 in Gelendzhik, eyewitnesses tried to recapture him, but one of the abductors showed a certificate of an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic. Tepsurkaev was taken to Chechnya, where he was tortured on camera and forced to sit on a bottle. The video taken at the same time was published on the Internet.
After Sadovskaya's statement, information about the murder of Tepsurkaev was published in the 1Adat Telegram channel itself. It is reported that Tepsurkaev was killed at the same time, in September 2020, by inserting a grenade into his mouth.
“After the kidnapping of Salman, the Kadyrovites forcibly forced him to sit on a bottle on camera, after which they filmed Salman in staged videos, where he allegedly freely walks around Grozny. All these videos were filmed on September 7, 2020. After filming, Salman was taken away from Grozny from the territory of the 2nd Regiment. Akhmat Kadyrov.
Salman was killed on September 15, 2020, at a military training ground in the village of Dzhalka, this is the ancestral village of "State Duma deputy" Adam Delimkhanov. They tied Salman, put a grenade in his mouth and blew him up from a distance. Salman was tortured, humiliated for a week, and at the end he was killed in a horrifying way, but even this was not enough for the vile Kadyrov's criminals. They gave the body to relatives and told them to "bury it like a dog". Salman's body was buried in an unmarked grave."
The Adat Movement
In July 2022, the Russian Ministry of Justice entered the Adat People’s Movement, which criticizes the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on its 1ADAT Telegram channel, into the register of extremist organizations.
Local activists have repeatedly reported kidnappings and torture due to suspicions in connection with the movement. In 2021, Abubakar Yangulbaev, an employee of the Committee against Torture, the son of a former Chechen judge Saidi Yangulbaev, said that “Kadyrov’s men kidnapped” about forty of his Chechen relatives. Abubakar's brother Ibrahim admitted that he is one of the creators of the channel. Ibragim himself was also kidnapped, and Ramzan Kadyrov was directly involved in his torture.
On January 20, 2022, Chechen police officers broke into the apartment of judge Saidi Yangulbaev in Nizhny Novgorod. Because of his immunity status, he was not kidnapped, so his wife Zarema was kidnapped. She suffers from type 2 diabetes and needs insulin injections 5 times a day. The security forces did not allow Musayeva to take warm clothes, medicines and even her passport with her. She is still in prison.
Threats against the Yangulbaev family were made by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. He called the family "accomplices of terrorists" and called on them to detain, and in case of resistance – to "destroy". Kadyrov also wrote: “Be that as it may, I declare that this family is waiting for a place either in prison or underground. And it doesn't depend on me." Following Kadyrov, State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov promised live on Instagram to cut off the heads of members of the family of judge Saidi Yangulbaev.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly stated that the Kremlin does not consider it necessary to deal with complaints about Kadyrov's threats, and promises of death are the "personal opinion" of the head of Chechnya.
