“In those six months, we changed history, changed the world, and changed ourselves.” Zelensky congratulated Ukrainians on Independence Day

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Ukrainians on Independence Day. “In these six months, we have changed history, changed the world and changed ourselves. Now we know for sure who is really our brother and friend, and who is not even a casual acquaintance. Who did not lose their name and reputation, and who was worried that the terrorists would save face,” he said.

Zelensky said that Ukrainians celebrate this day in trenches and dugouts, in tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, at sea and on land.

“Someone beats on the road, in cars, trucks and trains. Fights for independence, delivering what is needed to those on the front lines. And someone – in a smartphone or at a computer. And he also fights for independence – raising funds so that those who are on the way have something to carry to those who are on the front line. We celebrate this day in different circumstances, conditions and even in different time zones, but with the sole purpose of preserving the independence and victory of Ukraine,” the President said.
