The former mayor of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman appealed to the people of Yekaterinburg and everyone who supported him during yesterday's trial. His appeal was published by the Yekaterinburg edition of It's my city.
“A lot of people got involved in this situation, and thanks to them, including me, I have remained at large so far,” Roizman said. – My article provides for up to three years in prison. We'll fight somehow. But the whole difficulty lies in the fact that it is completely incomprehensible how to build a line of defense, because I will not refuse what I said, because everything I said is what I think, I am sure of it. And no one can take away from me this right to say what I think and what I see. Therefore, all the risks are clear, all adults, everyone understands everything. But that doesn't change my position."
On August 25, the Verkh-Isetsky Court in Yekaterinburg chose Yevgeny Roizman, who was detained the day before on suspicion of “discrediting the Russian Armed Forces” (part 1 of article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), a measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions. Until September 19, he cannot visit public places, use any means of communication, except when communicating with a lawyer, investigator, prosecutor, court, calling an ambulance or emergency services.
