An Australian artist (pseudonym CTO) painted over his graffiti after criticism from the Ukrainian community and public pressure. Earlier, on the wall of a house in Melbourne, he depicted the embrace of Ukrainian and Russian soldiers.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia Vasily Miroshnichenko called the work "extremely offensive to all Ukrainians":
"The artist has no idea about the invasion of Ukraine, and it's a pity that this happened without consultation with the Ukrainian community in Melbourne."
CTO ended up apologizing for their work, adding that it was "clumsy".
