Apple introduced the new iPhone 14. But it will not be officially sold in Russia

Apple held an autumn presentation and introduced a new iPhone – 14 and 14 Plus, in the US they will cost $799 and $899, respectively. In Russia, iPhones were no longer officially sold due to the war in Ukraine; sales stopped back in March.

The diagonal screens of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively. Users are waiting for an updated, 12-megapixel camera, as well as expanded support for the built-in eSIM SIM card. At the same time, there is no slot for physical SIM cards in the US. There is another innovation: using the iPhone 14, it will be possible to send a distress signal even where the connection does not catch. Smartphones will work on the Apple A15 Bionic processor.

The design is very similar to the iPhone 13, the smartphone will be available in five colors: red, purple, blue, black and white. The iPhone 14 will go on sale on September 16th.

Apple also introduced the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. They will not have a "bangs", instead of it – a "pill". Of the pluses – an even more powerful camera, reduced power consumption, and the screen is brighter and clearer than other models. They will cost $999 and $1099, respectively, and will also be on sale on September 16th. The announced prices for the new models are comparable to those of the iPhone 13 in the US.

In addition, the company showed new models of Apple Watch. The cost of the eighth generation of smartwatches starts at $399 (this is the version without cellular support). There is also a new device – Apple Watch Ultra specifically for athletes and extreme conditions. Their price is from $799.

New iPhones can now only get into Russia through parallel imports from the CIS countries, that is, without the official permission of the copyright holder. The government authorized this import: Apple products were included in the list of goods imported in this way. However, this entails costs: at least a higher price and a decrease in the quality of service.
