The Ukrainian version of Playboy will be closed. Owner: “The reason may be in our issue of the war”

The Ukrainian version of Playboy magazine will cease to be produced from January 1, 2023, co-owner of the publication Oleksandr Shevchenko said .

“The decision of the central office. Nobody explained the reason. Talking bad about partners is not in my rules. Playboy did not leave Russia. Left Ukraine. All financial obligations on our part have been fulfilled by 100%,” he wrote.

At the same time, in a comment to the Strana publication, Shevchenko stated that he considers the Playboy issue about the war to be the real reason for closing the magazine, which was not agreed with the central office:

“I think the real reason for the closure of Playboy Ukraine is our informal issue of Playboy War. It couldn't be done that way."

At the same time, after the release of that issue, Shevchenko previously said : “We thought that after that our license would be taken away. But we decided to release it anyway. Because everyone should see what is happening in Ukraine now. But surprisingly, today the central office thanked us for this number. It will spread all over the world."

At the main office of Playboy, the reason for the closure of the Ukrainian version of Shevchenko was explained by the transition towards the format of a grocery company. “They will produce T-shirts. They already have a store. T-shirts are just with the Playboy logo – a bunny," Shevchenko said.
