“They strangled them with a plastic bag, poured water on their nose and mouth, and beat them with electric shocks.” An anti-fascist detained in the Urals was forced to sign blank sheets under torture

Yury Neznamov, 27, an anti-fascist from Yekaterinburg, who was detained at the end of August on charges of organizing and participating in a terrorist community (Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code), claimed to have been tortured. This wasreported by Mediazona with reference to Neznamov's lawyer Fyodor Akchemyshev.

According to the lawyer, Neznamov was detained on August 31, taken to Tyumen, where on September 3 he was sent to a pre-trial detention center under article 205.4 of the Criminal Code. What exactly Neznamov is charged with and what kind of court took him into custody is not yet known.

The lawyer met with Neznamov in the pre-trial detention center only on September 9th. According to a lawyer's interview, Neznamov said that after his arrest, he was tortured by security forces in the building of the investigation unit of the Tyumen Ministry of Internal Affairs on Malygina Street, 54.

“The first thing that happened was that they strangled me with a bag, after these tortures they threw me on the floor. Having slightly opened the package, put a rag and began to pour water on the nose and mouth. After that, they tied me at the feet and firmly in my arms. They put something wet in one of the sneakers, they also attached something to the back, then they turned on the current. How long this went on, I can’t say, because it seemed like an eternity. I also told the whole truth and supplemented them with the words that I was inspired to stop it. I have never experienced such pain in my life, ”Neznamov told the lawyer.

The security forces demanded that he sign "the investigator's words," Neznamov said. He also claims that they threatened to plant an explosive with his fingerprints on his family.

As a result, Neznamov signed the blank sheets, and left an SOS mark on one of the copies of the interrogation.

According to the Prometheus Telegram channel, in addition to Neznamov, on August 30 and 31, Daniil Chertykov, Nikita Oleinik and Roman “Ryzhy” were also detained in Surgut in Yekaterinburg. All of them were also delivered to Tyumen. What exactly they are charged with is not known. The publication 66.ru, citing the joint press service of the courts of the Tyumen region, reports that the detainees were sent to the local pre-trial detention center No. 1 until the end of October.

As the press service of the courts reported , on September 2, the Central District Court of Tyumen sent Kirill Brik, born in 1998, and Deniz Aidyn, born in 1999, to the pre-trial detention center on charges of making an improvised explosive (Part 2 of Article 223.1 of the Criminal Code). According to the investigators, on August 30, Brik and Aydin made an explosive at home, and in the evening they came to the local CHPP-2 "in order to find a suitable area for the explosion in forest plantations." They were detained there and, as follows from the materials of the investigation, they found 312.13 grams of explosives and two detonators.
