The Circle of Kindness Foundation, founded by the Russian Ministry of Health, announced problems in the procurement of medicines.
As Kommersant writes with reference to the press service of the fund, the supply of some medicines is delayed due to sanctions. Representatives of the "Circle of Kindness" believe that the UN needs to adopt a resolution that would not allow the spread of sanctions on the supply of medicines.
At the same time, the fund emphasizes that none of the suppliers refused to cooperate. The main problem lies in the fact that many of them have revised the payment scheme and logistics.
“For example, a manufacturer of a drug for seriously ill children, which has no analogues, confirmed contractual obligations, but on the condition that “the delivered drug should not be used in the territory of a country under sanctions,” TASS quoted a representative of the fund.
The Circle of Kindness was established in early 2021 by decree of Vladimir Putin. The Foundation provides assistance to children with serious life-threatening diseases, including orphan ones. It does not accept donations from individuals and legal entities and is funded exclusively by the state.
