Since the beginning of September, Ukraine has returned more than 3,000 km² of territory under its control – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Since the beginning of September, Ukraine has regained control of more than 3,000 square kilometers captured by Russia in a counteroffensive. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

According to him, the Ukrainian military in the Kharkiv direction began to move not only to the south and east, but also to the north. Zaluzhny writes that 50 km remain before reaching the state border. He also published photographs showing the villages of the Kharkiv region liberated from Russian troops: Bayrak, Novaya Gusarovka, Shchurovka and Olkhovatka.

“The capture of the powerful fortified areas of the Russian troops, which they proudly called “Moscow”, “Omsk” and “Piter”, made it possible to launch a counterattack on Balakleya, Izyum and Kupyansk,” writes Zaluzhny.

September 10 became one of the most important for the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On this day, from the very morning, a message began to appear in social networks that Ukraine had returned not only towns and villages, but also large cities: Izyum, Kupyansk and Liman, to its control.
