The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed on the map the withdrawal of Russian troops from most of the territory of the Kharkiv region

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at a daily briefing showed a map from which it follows that as of September 11, only a small territory in the east of the Kharkov region, across the Oskol River, remains under Russian control. The Agency drew attention to this.

Territories in the north of the Kharkiv region, which were already marked as controlled by Russia on September 10, but the new map is marked as controlled by Ukraine.

Judging by the map, Russia in particular left the city of Volchansk. Earlier, Ukrainian media and telegram channels wrote that Ukrainian flags were noticed in Volchansk. This is the last city of Kharkiv region, which remained under the control of Russia.

In total, according to the estimates of the Agency, during the offensive of the Ukrainian army, which began near the city of Balakliya at the beginning of the week, Russia could lose 8.6 thousand square kilometers. From the data of the Ministry of Defense it follows that Russia now controls about 2 thousand square kilometers in the Kharkov region. At the end of August, it controlled 10.6 thousand square kilometers, or 33.7% of the region.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that since the beginning of September, Ukraine, during the counteroffensive, has returned more than 3,000 square kilometers seized by Russia under its control. According to him, the Ukrainian military in the Kharkiv direction began to move not only to the south and east, but also to the north. Zaluzhny writes that 50 km remain before reaching the state border. He also published photographs showing the villages of the Kharkiv region liberated from Russian troops: Bayrak, Novaya Gusarovka, Shchurovka and Olkhovatka.

September 10 became one of the most important for the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On this day, from the very morning, a message began to appear in social networks that Ukraine had returned not only towns and villages, but also large cities: Izyum, Kupyansk and Liman, to its control.
