Logachevka border checkpoint in Belgorod region fired from Ukraine – Governor

In the Belgorod region, the border checkpoint Logachevka was shelled. This was announced by the Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

According to him, the shelling was carried out from the side of Ukraine. According to preliminary data, no victims. The village of Logachevka itself was also not affected. Gladkov writes that the head of the city district is taking local residents to a safe place.

Starting from Wednesday, thousands of refugees began to flock to Logachevka. Most of them are residents of Ukrainian villages located on the border with Russia. A source in the Belgorod region told The Insider that the length of the refugee queue was 3-4 kilometers.

By the beginning of the decentralized evacuation, the capacity of Logachevka was 100 cars per day. However, due to the fact that, in addition to civilians, columns of Russian military equipment pass through the checkpoint, it has been increased to 300 vehicles per day.

According to the source of The Insider, the purpose of today's shelling was precisely the equipment:

“Instead of driving away the equipment, the Russian military put it along the road. There are very large columns of military equipment, tanks and other military vehicles, and a lot of military personnel. There is so much of this technique that, it seems, they can be seen from the satellite. There is nothing strange in the fact that Logachevka was shelled today because of this, no.”

The Belgorod region has become the Russian region most affected by the war unleashed by Vladimir Putin against Ukraine. So, on the morning of August 31, several explosions thundered there.
