One person died and four were injured as a result of the shelling of the Logachevka border checkpoint in the Belgorod region – Governor Gladkov

As a result of the shelling of the Logachevka border checkpoint in the Belgorod region, a citizen of Ukraine born in 1942 died, four more people were injured (three of them are Ukrainians), the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said .

“According to preliminary data, there is partial destruction of outbuildings and private households in the village, damaged cars and power lines. Emergency services have now cut off the gas and electricity supply. The head of the city district undertakes to restore everything as soon as possible," Gladkov said.

Gladkov reported about the shelling of Logachevka around 13:00 in the afternoon. According to him, the shelling was carried out from the side of Ukraine.

On September 8, the head of the region also said that two missiles were shot down over Belgorod, and the air defense system went off. Gladkov explained that there were no victims or injured. He added, with reference to the operational services, that the roof of the house in the 2nd Orekhovy dead end was damaged. In addition, fragments of rockets were found on the plots of houses on several more streets.
