Shelling of Krivoy Rog
The Russian military fired 8 cruise missiles at Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine. As a result of the shelling, the dam was damaged, due to which the Ingulets River overflowed its banks and flooded the coastal areas. According to various sources, the water level rose from two to six meters. The river demolishes bridges along its course.
Sources of The Insider claim that the shelling was carried out by X-101 missiles, and the target of the strike could be the largest thermal power plant in the region, Kryvyi Rih. If the dam fails, Krivoy Rog may go under water. Now there are water shortages in the city.
According to military expert and Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve Oleg Zhdanov, the shelling of Krivoy Rog is Vladimir Putin's revenge for the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction. He spoke about this in a conversation with The Insider. According to him, the dam withstood, and with the maximum discharge of water, only "30% of what could happen" will happen, and the city will not go under water.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Izyum liberated from Russian occupation. He met with the Ukrainian military who participated in the de-occupation of the city, honored the memory of the dead with a minute of silence and took part in raising the flag of Ukraine.
“You can temporarily occupy the territory of our state. But it is definitely impossible to occupy the Ukrainian people. You can brainwash, but this cannot be done with the hearts of Ukrainians,” Zelensky wrote after the visit.
The situation in the liberated territories
It became known that the Russian military tortured the inhabitants of Balakliya during the occupation of the city. One of the torture survivors, Artyom, told the BBC that he spent about 40 days in captivity. According to him, he was tortured with an electric shock and current:
“I was forced to pick up two wires. There was a generator there. The faster it spun, the greater the tension. They said: "Let go of the wires – you're done." Then they started asking questions. They said I was lying, and the generator spun faster, so the voltage grew.
Major General and former Deputy Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Viktor Yagun told The Insider that the situation in the liberated territories is tense. Due to the fact that during the occupation some local residents fell for propaganda, now lynching may begin there. Also, according to Yagun, there are many dead in the liberated territories:
“Yes, a lot, and they find terrible things. So far they are afraid to talk about it, but very terrible things are coming. Now it is leaking a little, but I think that in two or three weeks this information will begin to be published.”
