In correctional colony No. 6 of Yoshkar-Ola, about 150 people signed up as volunteers to be sent to war in Ukraine after the arrival of "Putin's cook" Yevgeny Prigozhin. This was reported to The Insider by human rights activist Ivan Astashin, citing his own sources.
On September 14, the Telegram channel of the Cheka-OGPU published a video in which Prigozhin stands in front of a line of prisoners of IK-6 and tells them about the conditions of service.
“I only want stormtroopers. <…> Those who move forward, those who are the most greyhounds, they survive better. Those who give back, do not understand what to do, get in the ass, ”says Prigogine.
According to him, the minimum age for sending to war in Ukraine is 22 years. However, if the applicant is younger, then the problem can be solved with a note from relatives that they are not against his service. “Conditionally” the maximum age is 50 years.
Prigozhin says that all applicants must pass an interview and pass several tests. And he notes that special attention will be paid to those who are serving time on drug and sexual charges – the first will be checked on a polygraph. After six months of service, according to Prigozhin, the prisoners will be pardoned and sent home.
The main "sin", according to Prigozhin, is desertion:
“No one gives back, no one retreats, no one surrenders. When you are instructed on surrendering, you will be told about two grenades that you should have with you. <…> For those who arrive and on the first day say: “Somewhere I didn’t go there”, we make a mark “deserter”, and after that execution follows.”
Another "sin" is looting. By looting, Prigogine means, among other things, sexual contacts with “local women, flora, fauna, men, anyone.”
Prigozhin also says in plain text that he owns the Wagner PMC. He reports that “he has combat aircraft, MLRS and tanks in his PMC”. He also mentions that after serving in Ukraine there is an option to stay in the Wagner PMC. The dead are promised to be buried in their hometowns on the alleys of heroes or at the PMC chapel in Goryachiy Klyuch.
Prigozhin also talks about the first prisoners he recruited:
“The first prisoners who fought with me were on June 1, the assault on the Uglegorsk thermal power plant. 40 people from St. Petersburg, strict regime, relapse, went into the trenches of the enemy, cut him out with knives, three dead, seven wounded. Among the dead, one was 52 years old, thirty of them were imprisoned, he died heroically.
The fact that Prigozhin personally recruits prisoners in the colonies, The Insider wrote at the end of August. According to the prisoners, Prigozhin does not hide the fact that Vladimir Putin personally authorized the recruitment of criminals for the war, says that he “represents an organized criminal group that helps the Russian army,” and promises prisoners from 100 to 230 thousand rubles a month, giving preference to those convicted of murder.
