Half of schoolchildren who consider themselves patriots declared their desire to leave Russia

68% of middle and high school students in Russian schools consider themselves patriots of their country. At the same time, 46% are ready to emigrate, showed the results of a survey by the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Education of the Russian Academy of Education, to which Vedomosti refers .

The authors of the study claim that the number of patriotic schoolchildren has increased by 11 p.p. since last year. The share of those who do not consider themselves a patriot of the country decreased from 37% to 22%, but the number of schoolchildren who found it difficult to answer increased from 6% to 10%.

Most patriots are among schoolchildren aged 14–15 (70% in their age group). The lowest rates are in colleges and technical schools (65%) and boarding schools (66%). At the same time, the researchers note, the indicator of patriotism in cadet schools and classes does not exceed the indicator for all other educational organizations.

At the end of August, it became known about the training manuals for Russian teachers, who from the new academic year were obliged to conduct special classes “Conversations about the important”. Such lessons have appeared in every school since September 5. In July, The New York Times wrote that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, was involved in the creation of "Conversations about the Important". He became a guest of the course, as did Patriarch Kirill, who supported the war in Ukraine.
