The leadership of Penal Colony No. 6 in the Vladimir region, where opposition leader Alexei Navalny is now located, forbade his lawyers to show him any documents by taping the glass in the meeting room with an opaque film. Now Navalny and his defenders can't even see each other. A message about this appeared in the politician's Telegram channel.
“No one has ever seen anything like this. If earlier lawyers were forbidden to hand over any documents, having fenced them off from me with a solid wall of metal bars and plastic, now this plastic has been made opaque. They sealed it with tape, and now the lawyers can’t even SHOW me any documents.”
According to the oppositionist, at a meeting with lawyers on September 15, he was no longer even indignant, looking at the “new invention of the Kremlin-prison authorities”, but simply laughed.
“Now a meeting with a lawyer is as close as possible to confession in the Catholic Church. I am sitting on a chair in a room meter by meter. There is a plastic wall in front of me, behind which the silhouette of a person is vaguely visible. The fact that this is a lawyer can only be guessed by the voice. And now I constantly want to say: “Forgive me, holy father. I have sinned."
On September 8, attorney-client privilege was canceled in relation to Navalny. All his incoming and outgoing lawyer documents are subject to a three-day check. On September 7, he was transferred to the ShIZO for the fourth time for 15 days, allegedly because he was a “malicious violator”. He lost dates.
On the eve of the relatives of prisoners serving time in colony IK No. 6, they said that convicts are forbidden to even just look at the oppositionist. According to them, when Navalny is led through the colony, three bells are heard. This means that the prisoners must turn away. If Navalny is on the street at that time, they are required to move away from the windows.
