Schoolchildren in the border areas of the Belgorod region will be transferred to the “remote school”. The region is constantly shelled

Schools in areas of the Belgorod region, located near the border with Ukraine, will be transferred to distance learning, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said . Only duty groups will work in kindergartens.

“According to the decision of the meeting of the anti-terrorist commission in the Valuysky urban district, in a 15 km zone along the border, we are transferring schools to distance learning. <…> In the Shebekinsky urban district – in a 10 km zone, with the exception of the city of Shebekino, we are also transferring schools to distance learning, ”he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, Gladkov instructed on September 1 to limit the work of schools and kindergartens in five municipalities of the region: it was Krasnaya Yaruga, Grayvoron, Borisovka, Belgorod and Shebekinsky districts. This was done against the backdrop of almost daily reports from local authorities about shelling from Ukraine.

So, on September 14, the governor reported on the shelling of the village of Krasny Khutor and the destruction in several households. On September 13, he spoke about the shelling of the village of Zhuravlyovka, where, according to him, only “old people of 80 and 90 years old” remained, and other buildings and houses were empty. The school, recreation center and administration were damaged. On September 12, Gladkov announced the shelling of the border checkpoint in the village of Logachevka. Then a woman died and four people were injured.
