The Russian retreat in the Kharkiv region, which the Ministry of Defense calls a "regrouping of troops," was chaotic – this is also evidenced by the fact that the Russians abandoned valuable artillery weapons, British intelligence reports .
“The valuable weapons abandoned by the retreating Russian troops include equipment badly needed for the “artillery war” waged by Russia. The military, among other things, left behind at least one Zoopark counter-battery radar and at least one command and control vehicle. All this indicates the disorganized nature of the retreat of some units and may indicate violations in the chain of command.
British intelligence notes that the retreat itself over the past week was "non-uniform": part of the Russian troops retreated in a relatively organized manner, but others, apparently, fled "in obvious panic."
On the eve of the disorderly flight of the Russians, US intelligence also spoke . They said that the successful counter-offensive of the Ukrainians increased pressure on Moscow: it may not be able to quickly gather, prepare and deliver new forces to the front.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to strengthen in the liberated territories of the Kharkiv region, British intelligence notes. Russian troops, according to her, are mainly withdrawn from the area west of the Oskol River. The Ukraine War Map project, which monitors the movement of troops, notes that so far there are no significant changes on the front.
At the same time, the pro-Russian authorities in the occupied territories claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gathering forces in the Kherson direction: to the village of Kiselevka between Kherson and Nikolaev. Kirill Stremousov, the so-called “deputy head of the VGA” of the region, speaks about this.
Russia, meanwhile, continues to avenge a successful counter-offensive. Yesterday, September 14, the military fired 8 cruise missiles at Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine. The dam was damaged, after which the Ingulets River overflowed its banks and flooded the coastal areas, the bridges were demolished. According to The Insider's sources, the shelling was carried out with X-101 missiles, the target could be Krivorozhskaya TPP, the largest in the region.
According to the latest data, the water level in different parts of the Ingulets River rose by 1-2 meters, 112 houses and plots were flooded, people were evacuated. Repairs went on all night. The head of the Dnepropetrovsk OVA, Valentin Reznichenko, said in the morning that the water level in the river had dropped by 40 centimeters.
Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the incident. He called the Russian army "weaklings, howling at civilians, and terrorists."
“Who will you remain in history? All those who hit with these missiles. Those who came to our land. Weaklings. You are weaklings who fight civilians. Scoundrels who, having escaped from the battlefield, are trying to do harm from somewhere far away. You will remain terrorists who will be ashamed of their own grandchildren.”
