In Vladivostok, a local resident Dmitry Kulikov is accused of treason. His apartment was searched, the report states that the reason was the transfer of a photograph of a local combined heat and power plant (CHP) to Ukrainian intelligence. This was reported by OVD-Info with reference to a relative of Kulikov.
According to her, Kulikov opposed the current government and the war unleashed by it in Ukraine. Under the article on treason, Kulikov can receive up to 20 years in prison for photographing a thermal power plant.

The terms under the article on treason are among the most severe in the Criminal Code. For example, journalist Ivan Safronov was sent to a colony for 22 years, despite the fact that the limit under the article is 20 years. To increase the term, he was charged with two episodes. He is charged with spreading fakes based on political hatred or enmity and inciting hatred or enmity by a person using his official position.
