A Russian ammunition depot was discovered on the outskirts of Balakleya. They were kept in the basement next to pickles in jars.

On the outskirts of Balakleya in the Kharkiv region, a spare Russian command post was found, there was also a warehouse of ammunition and equipment. The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine reports this on its Telegram channel.

According to photographs released by the bureau, ammunition was stored in the basement next to pickles in cans, among boards, bricks and old things. The warehouse was placed in one of the houses, the report says.

The ammunition arsenal was carefully disguised. The bureau claims that dozens of boxes of ammunition for guns and tanks of various calibers, mines and grenades were found in the warehouse. In the same basement there was a supply of food that Russian military personnel confiscated from local residents. Also at the checkpoint were two infantry fighting vehicles with ammunition.

The bureau handed over the confiscated ammunition and equipment to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense twice in a month reported on the destruction of 45,000 tons of ammunition in the Voznesensk region of the Nikolaev region. At the same time, the agency did not publish any photos, limiting itself to a text message in the Telegram channel. The second report of the department was published on the Telegram channel on September 12, it is similar to the first report for August 7. The mayor of Voznesensk, Yevgeny Velichko, told The Insider that on September 4 and September 11, there were arrivals at a grain warehouse that never contained military equipment. It is not known whether the Ministry of Defense destroyed any warehouses, but shelling of civilian objects was repeatedly recorded in the region.
