The "Ministry of Tourism" of the Crimea annexed by Russia invited Russian tourists to celebrate the New Year on the Crimean bridge. Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities called it the next strategic goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of Tourism of Crimea, the train from Moscow will leave for the New Year's "Crimean Voyage" on December 29. “The feature of this train is such that the meeting of the New Year itself will take place just at the time of passage along the Crimean bridge,” Olga Zhdanova, deputy general director for tourism of the Grand Service Express carrier company, quotes the publication.
In mid-August, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak, in an interview with The Guardian , said that Ukraine considers the Crimean bridge as a "legitimate military target."
“This bridge was built illegally, it is the main supply gate for the Russian army in Crimea. Such objects must be destroyed,” he said.
