Sobyanin invited migrants to sign up for the war right in the center of Sakharovo – in order to get Russian citizenship as soon as possible

The Moscow authorities offered migrants to go to war in Ukraine in order to quickly obtain Russian citizenship. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that infrastructure "to assist the Ministry of Defense in organizing the entry of foreigners into military service" will be deployed at the Sakharovo migration center.

In the very near future, the Moscow government will deploy a full-fledged infrastructure in Sakharovo to assist the Russian Defense Ministry in organizing the entry of foreign citizens into the military service. City services will do everything necessary to make the conclusion of contracts as convenient as possible for citizens, ”says Sobyanin’s blog.

On September 20, the State Duma adopted in the second and third readings a law on simplifying the acquisition of Russian citizenship. According to the document, foreigners who have entered into a one-year contract for service in the Russian army will be able to obtain citizenship faster – "without a long wait and other bureaucratic obstacles."

Prior to this, in order to obtain citizenship in a simplified manner, foreign citizens had to serve in the RF Armed Forces under a contract for at least three years.
