Three former DOXA editors put on wanted list

The Ministry of Internal Affairs put on the federal wanted list three former editors of the student magazine DOXA: Natasha Tyshkevich, Vladimir Metelkin and Alla Gutnikova, follows from the base of the ministry.

The fourth editor, Armen Aramyan, is not in the database.

In August, Tyshkevich and Gutnikova reported that they were in Germany.

In April, the court sentenced four DOXA editors, Armen Aramyan, Vladimir Metelkin, Natalia Tyshkevich, and Alla Gutnikova, to two years of hard labor and a three-year ban on website administration. They were charged with article 151.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (involving minors in the commission of unlawful acts).

Before that, all the editors were arrested, and the investigators attached more than a hundred protocols on administrative offenses of people at the rallies and the results of a linguistic examination to the case file. According to them, the video on social networks contained calls to violate the law. The author of the examination was expert Albina Glotova, who became famous after she found an insult to the veteran in Navalny's tweet. Subsequently, the editors were placed under house arrest. On April 29, 2021, the Memorial human rights center recognized the DOXA editors as political prisoners. On March 4, 2022, against the background of the war in Ukraine and the introduction of military censorship, the defendants suspended their work at DOXA.

The student journal was created by students and graduates of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and for some time had the official status of a student organization at the university, which was revoked by the university leadership in December 2019.
