Volunteers from the "Combat Army Reserve" ("BARS") cannot receive the payments they were promised for participating in hostilities in Ukraine. About this writes "Vot Tak" with reference to the fighters themselves and their relatives.
The Russian Ministry of Defense does not advertise the participation of volunteer detachments in the war; official representatives of the department have never reported losses in these formations. One of the BARS fighters told the publication that volunteer units were suffering serious losses. They lack modern equipment and uniforms, they complain about poor coordination between units and the constant change of command staff. The interlocutor of the publication cited as an example the case when 20 BARS volunteers were given a Soviet sapper shovel to dig a trench several tens of kilometers long.
The military from the "Combat Army Reserve of the country" undergo very short-term training, after which they are sent to defend sectors of the front that are under constant fire, the newspaper writes.
“The military tickets do not put any mark that we participated in a special military operation. As they say, we are nobody: we simply do not exist, the state, turning to us for help, actually abandoned its promises – [we are not given] any benefits and benefits. They can even refuse to take our wounded soldier to the hospital, as it happened more than once, ”another volunteer told the publication.
During the assault on Avdiivka, several BARS fighters were injured. After the battle, they were refused to be taken to Rostov-on-Don, where a military hospital is located. The wounded were told that as volunteers they did not have military status.
“In July, my husband received severe shrapnel wounds from a mine explosion in his legs, arm, and neck. He was at the forefront all the time. The most surprising thing is that the builders who go there are given all the benefits. And those people who were sitting on the front line with contractors in the trenches are not given anything. Moreover, these are not volunteers from the “LPR” and “DPR”, but Russians. I have a wounded man, but what about those volunteers who died? Their families are not entitled to anything, since they are not combat veterans, ”Anna, whose husband has been undergoing treatment in a Moscow military hospital for the past few months, told the publication.
When Anna's husband was wounded, she tried to find out what benefits and payments they are entitled to in such a case. However, at the military registration and enlistment office she was told that her husband “don’t understand who”, and demanded to show a contract, which the family was never given.
Volunteers wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking for help, but received no response.
