In the city of Izyum, Kharkiv region, liberated from Russian occupation, the exhumation of bodies from graves discovered there after the withdrawal of Russian troops has been completed. According to Oleg Sinegubov , the head of the Kharkiv OVA, a total of 436 bodies were exhumed, most of them have signs of violent death, 30 – signs of torture.

“Most of the dead are civilians, 21 are military. There are bodies with a rope around their necks, with tied hands, broken limbs and gunshot wounds. Several men had their genitals amputated,” wrote Sinegubov.

He noted that this is not the only mass grave in Izyum. “At least 3 more such places were found in this area, there are burials in other liberated cities of the Kharkiv region. Now inspection and demining are being carried out, ”said the head of the OVA.

The exhumation began on 16 September. The bodies are removed from the graves to investigate the circumstances of the death of people. Earlier it became known that the bodies of children were found. In particular, criminologists found the buried Stolpakov family – a father, a mother, two children, as well as a grandmother and a younger sister of the mother. They died on March 9th. The family hid in the basement, which was filled up as a result of shelling.

Russian propagandists tried to pass off the graves of the inhabitants of Izyum killed by the invaders as the graves of soldiers who died during the capture of the city in March.
