In St. Petersburg, a member of the Human Rights Council Evgenia Litvinova was detained. She is charged with an article on “false reporting of a terrorist attack” (part 2 of article 207). It is reported by SOTA with reference to the Human Rights Council.
Activist Dmitry Martynichev was also detained in the case of "telephone terrorism," OVD-Info writes. He is known for the poster "FSIN – Federal Service for Rape of the Population."
Earlier it became known about the detention of SOTA journalist Victoria Arefieva in the same case. On September 24, early in the morning, the security forces broke down the door to her apartment and searched it. After that, the journalist was detained for 48 hours. Arefieva's colleagues are sure that in this way they are trying to prevent her from working at the anti-war rallies that will be held this Saturday.
On September 24, they also searched the homes of Viasna activists Yevgeny Zateev and Valentin Khoroshenin. The activists are under a "prohibition of certain actions" in the case of "creating an organization that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens." They also came to the activist Pallada Bashurova (Polina Titova) – she is a suspect in two cases of "telephone terrorism" at once.
