Moscow State University students who condemned the Z-action of a classmate faced online threats and pressure from the leadership of the Faculty of Journalism

The leadership of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University condemned the reaction of students who criticized the "patriotic" action of third-year student Stepan Antropov. As reported on the page of the Faculty of Journalism "VKontakte", the reaction of students will be discussed at the Ethics Commission of the faculty.

“The Faculty of Journalism was saddened to learn about the unacceptable reaction in social networks to the patriotic position of a 3rd year student S. Antropov. Rudeness and intolerance towards the expression of patriotism is unacceptable for the faculty,” the message says. To Antropov himself, who violated the charter of the faculty with his action, the journalism faculty has no complaints.

On September 23, Stepan Antropov held a performance within the walls of the faculty. He came in a T-shirt with a Z-symbol and waved the flag of the "LNR". Classmates reminded him that any political activity within the walls of the university is prohibited.

After the performance was condemned in a student chat, students who were dissatisfied with it began to receive threats. On condition of anonymity, the students told The Insider that they received calls and messages in which they were threatened with denunciations and sexual assault. Antropov himself also began to write insulting messages to classmates.

In addition, according to social networks, the personal data of those who disagree were distributed through Z-channels with an appeal to write and call students.

After the outbreak of a full-scale war in Ukraine, students and teachers of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University told The Insider how the faculty administration forbids talking about the war and “foreign agents”, cuts the salaries of dissenting teachers and propagates state propaganda.
