The head of the Ust-Ilimsk military enlistment office, Alexander Eliseev, was shot at his workplace, now he is in intensive care in a serious condition. It is reported by Mash with reference to eyewitnesses.
According to the channel, the shooter went inside the building, said: “No one will fight,” and fired from a sawn-off shotgun. After that, he was detained. According to Baza, before the shots, he also said another phrase: "Now we will all go home."
Mash later clarified that the shooter's name is Ruslan Zinin, he is 25 years old. A video of his arrest has been released:
An eyewitness told Baza that there was no metal detector in the military registration and enlistment office, no one checked the documents of conscripts:
“We looked at the agenda, scribbled in the magazine and go through. His weapon was like from Brother-2, very similar, like a homemade sawn-off shotgun.”
In Russia, after the announcement of mobilization, they began to burn military enlistment offices and administrative buildings with renewed vigor. Burning of military registration and enlistment offices across the country began immediately after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February, but now the phenomenon seems to have become widespread.
