“They strangled, kicked, took by the hair.” Girl detained under article about “discrediting” told about torture in “Lyublino” police department – SOTA

In Moscow, a girl who was accused under an article about “discrediting” the Russian army spoke about torture in the Lyublino police department. According to SOTA, the reason for the detention of Daria Ivanova was the leaflets allegedly distributed to her with the text: “We will bring a coffin to every house at the expense of the state.”

According to the girl, four plainclothes policemen came to her apartment on September 25 at about 10 am. They dragged the girl out of the apartment by her arms and legs and put one of the employees in a personal car.

At the police station, Daria was forced to confess to the offense, and after that they began to use physical and moral violence against her. Later, Daria recorded the beatings, turning to the doctor, she was diagnosed with a bruise of the soft tissues. As the girl said, at the police station she was beaten and threatened to plant drugs.

“They choked, kicked, punched, grabbed by the hair and beat on the surrounding objects. The beating was carried out by an employee of the center for combating extremism. They threatened to attribute prostitution and plant drugs during a personal search, ”said Daria.

As a result, a protocol was drawn up against the girl under the article on “discrediting” the Russian army and released on a promise to appear.

On September 26, security forces broke into the apartment of activists Artyom Kamardin, Aleksandra Popova and Aleksandr Menyukov, who were taking part in a poetic action against mobilization. Kamardin was severely beaten and raped with a dumbbell. After that, they forced the activists to apologize on camera. The lawyer was not allowed into the apartment. All three were detained and taken to the UK.

Detained activist Alexandra Popova said that the security forces beat her, threatened her with gang rape, pulled out her hair and tried to glue her mouth with superglue. While she was being bullied, she heard how her friend Artem Kamardin was being raped with a dumbbell. The security forces recorded the rape of Kamardin on video and later, during the “interrogation” at the Investigative Committee, they forced her to watch Artyom being tortured, the activist said.
