UK imposes sanctions against organizers of “referendums”

The UK has imposed sanctions against the organizers of "referendums" in the occupied Ukrainian territories. This was reported on the website of the government of the country.

The sanctions list includes 89 people and three organizations – Goznak, the International Settlement Bank and the IMA-Consulting PR agency.

In addition to the organizers of the "referendums", the following were sanctioned: God Nisanov, co-owner of the Kyiv Ploshchad development group, Iskander Makhmudov, the former controlling beneficiary of UMMC OJSC, and Igor Makarov, president of the Areti group of companies.

Sanctions have also been imposed on 55 board members of organizations associated with the Russian government and, according to the British government, funding the "Russian war machine". This list includes 23 people from the Board of Directors and the Management Board of Gazprombank, 16 members of the Supervisory Board and the Management Board of Sberbank, 10 top managers of Sovcombank.
