The Russian crossed the border with Estonia on a SUPBOARD, he was detained and returned to the Russian Federation

Estonian border guards detained a 38-year-old Russian citizen who illegally crossed the border of the two countries on a SUP board after the start of mobilization. This was announced by the head of the service of border and migration supervision of the Ida prefecture, Eerik Purgel.

The man tried to get into Estonia on the night of September 26th. At about one in the morning, moving on a SUP board, he crossed the border at the mouth of the Narva River. Border guards detained him at one of the bus stops in the city of Narva-Jõesuu, issued him an administrative fine, and then sent him back to Russia.

“This is an illegal border crossing, which was carried out out of fear of the mobilization announced in the neighboring country,” said Eerik Purgel.

Earlier today it was reported that in the near future at the Upper Lars checkpoint on the border with Georgia, through which thousands of people are trying to leave Russia, a mobilization point of the military enlistment office will be deployed.
