Russian men leaving the country after the announcement of mobilization began to be returned even after passing through passport control, some are removed from the plane, Nestka writes , citing eyewitnesses. The publication is aware of three such cases in the capital regions – they led to a delay in flights.
The incidents are said to have taken place during the week at Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports in Moscow and at Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg.
A passenger on a flight from Zhukovsky to Kyrgyzstan said that two men who appeared to be about 30 years old were dropped off the plane, their luggage was unloaded. The guys had already taken their places when the stewards approached them and asked them to leave. As a result, the flight was delayed for six hours. The interlocutor of "Layout" connected this with a protracted check of passengers.
The same story happened in Sheremetyevo. According to an eyewitness, two young men were taken "literally from the gate." Meanwhile, they calmly passed the border control. Another passenger on this flight was asked to get off the plane after he sat down.
The third incident occurred in Pulkovo. The passenger was heading to Turkey, the departure of the plane (people were already sitting inside) was delayed for an hour and a half: “They didn’t explain anything, they only apologized. Then [airport security personnel] came and asked one comrade [to] get out [of the cabin], no one understood anything.” According to an eyewitness, the man was told that he had "questions from the security guards."
The administration of one of the regions told Verstka that the military registration and enlistment offices, at the direction of the authorities of the region, make lists of conscripts – they are the ones who are prohibited from traveling abroad. According to lawyer Anastasia Burakova, it is legally possible to turn a person around when he is in the departure zone, since he is still on Russian territory. But when the aircraft door is closed, the vessel has the status "in flight".
Earlier, The Bell, citing sources, wrote that Russian airports received lists to be mobilized, according to which they will check those leaving and decide whether they can be released abroad. The presence of the lists was confirmed by the press service of the Tyumen airport Roschino. However, how they are composed is unknown. It is also unclear how often there are cases when men are not allowed to go abroad because of them. Judging by what those who are directly on the border (for example, the Russian-Georgian border) report in Telegram chats, most men cross it without hindrance.
