The complaint of Shevchuk’s lawyer about the judge’s decision on the fine was withdrawn from consideration

The complaint of the lawyer Alexander Peredruk against the decision of the Sovetsky District Court of Ufa on a fine of 50 thousand rubles to the leader of the DDT group Yuri Shevchuk was withdrawn from consideration. This was reported by the lawyer of The Insider.

The lawyer filed a complaint against the judge's decision to fine Shevchuk under the article on "discrediting" the Russian army. According to Peredruk, the case materials were returned to the court to correct the shortcomings, as they were sent to the Supreme Court "either not in full or in an improper way."

“Perhaps they were not sewn together. Now the case will return to the district court, after which the court will eliminate the shortcomings, and the case will be sent again to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan. We will be waiting for a new court date. Nobody canceled the fine to Shevchuk, the decision has not yet entered into force, ”Peredruk said.

On August 16, the Sovetsky District Court of Ufa found Shevchuk guilty in the case of an administrative offense of “discrediting” the Russian Armed Forces (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The musician was fined 50 thousand rubles. Shevchuk himself was not present at the court session, but lawyer Alexander Peredruk read out the text of his statement, in which the musician claims that he has always been against wars. Peredruk intended to appeal to the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan.

Shevchuk was included in the unofficial list of "banned artists", consisting of 37 names. This spring, he delivered a speech at his concert: “Motherland, friends, this is not the president’s ass, which must be procrastinated and kissed all the time. Motherland is a beggar grandmother at the station selling potatoes. This is the motherland." The statement of the musician was filmed and published online. After that, a protocol was drawn up against Shevchuk on the “discrediting” of the army, but the court returned the case to the police to eliminate the shortcomings.
