The Armenian authorities accused the Azerbaijani military of killing prisoners of war. Previously, footage of the alleged execution appeared on the network.

A video has circulated on social media, which allegedly depicts the execution of Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijani soldiers. Armenian Ombudsman Kristinne Grigoryan stated that the Armenian authorities confirmed the authenticity of the video. According to her, it was filmed on September 13. In the video, men in military uniforms fire machine guns at people on their knees.

“At the moment, we have found out the authenticity of the video. The fact is confirmed by studying the area, combining videos with similar ones available in our and other databases, as well as a combination of weather conditions, uniforms of military personnel, the conversation of Azerbaijani military personnel and other parameters,” Grigoryan noted.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, said that the international community should condemn this war crime and take measures to stop Azerbaijan's aggression.

“Armenia will use all available international mechanisms to investigate and bring those responsible to justice,” he tweeted.

EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar said that if the authenticity of the video is proven, then this war crime "should be investigated and the perpetrators punished."

On the night of September 13, the Armenian Defense Ministry announced shelling from Azerbaijan on Armenian positions using artillery, mortars and UAVs. Pashinyan decided to seek help from Russia, the UN Security Council and the CSTO. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denies information about its invasion, calls the statements of the Armenian Defense Ministry absurd, and also accuses Armenia of provocations and planting mines on the supply roads of Azerbaijani units. Baku accused Yerevan of sabotage.

In Armenia, after the start of the conflict, they said that more than 200 people were killed or disappeared. Azerbaijani authorities reported that about 80 servicemen were killed. In mid-September, the head of the Armenian General Staff stated that Azerbaijani soldiers had dismembered an Armenian soldier.
