Half of the mobilized residents of the Khabarovsk Territory were called up by mistake, Governor Mikhail Degtyarev said . According to him, those drafted who did not meet the criteria of the Ministry of Defense have already been returned home.
In this regard, Degtyarev dismissed the military commissar of the region Yuri Laiko:
“All facts of inflection must be suppressed. The military commissar of the Khabarovsk Territory, Yuri Sergeevich Laiko, has been dismissed today from his post. This will not affect the fulfillment of the tasks that the president has set for us.”
Earlier it was reported that in Khabarovsk, military enlistment office staff called on a single father, Vitaly Darenko, who is raising a disabled child.
In early September, Degtyarev said that he would go to Ukraine as a volunteer, but he could not, because he did not have the right to leave his post. After that, residents of the Khabarovsk Territory created a petition with a proposal to "help the governor fulfill his dream – to go to fight in the Donbass", it was signed by tens of thousands of people.
