“Ukraine will liberate territories, Russia will undergo demilitarization.” Zelensky’s office responded to Musk’s proposal to leave Crimea to Russia

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, replied to Elon Musk on a tweet where the businessman spoke about his own vision of ending the war in Ukraine. He posted a response to the founder of Tesla and SpaceX on Twitter.

Podolyak stressed that there was a “better” peace plan and attached several conditions for the end of the war, under which he arranged a vote.

1. Ukraine liberates its territories. Including the annexed Crimea.

2. Russia undergoes demilitarization and mandatory denuclearization in order to no longer threaten others.

3. War criminals go through an international tribunal.

96.7% of the more than 40 thousand voters agreed with the option proposed by the adviser.

Earlier, Elon Musk published his version of the possible end of the war in Ukraine: in his opinion, it is necessary to hold a second vote in the Russian-annexed regions of Ukraine under the supervision of the UN. Based on its results, it will be decided whether Russia will leave, Musk emphasized. The businessman also expressed the opinion that Crimea would become part of Russia, as it had been "since 1783, before Khrushchev's mistake." About 40 thousand comments gathered under the thread in an hour. Of the 786,657 voters who voted, 39.2% agreed with Musk's opinion, but the majority, 60.8%, did not support this scenario.

At the end of September, Russia held "referendums" in the occupied territories of Ukraine: in the so-called DPR and LPR, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, which were partially captured this year. According to state agencies, in the "DNR" 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation (in total, "2 million 131 thousand 207 people" came to the polling stations), in the "LPR" – 98.42% (taking into account the polling stations in the Russian Federation voted "1 million 662 thousand 607 voters"). In Zaporozhye, 93.11% of voters allegedly voted for joining, 541,093 people voted in total, and in the Kherson region – 87.05% (propagandists claim that a total of 571,001 people “voted”).
