Actress Angelina Jolie accused her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, of psychological and physical abuse of her and their common children. This is stated in the statement of claim by Jolie, which she filed with the court on October 4, writes The New York Times.
The lawsuit will be considered as part of the legal proceedings with Pitt because of the French winery, which was previously joint property with his wife, and was later sold by Jolie to Russian entrepreneur Yuri Shefler without the knowledge of Pitt (more on this case can be read here ). Jolie claims that she was initially going to sell her stake to Pitt, but the deal fell through because he demanded that she sign an agreement forbidding her from speaking "about the physical and emotional abuse of her and their children."
In a new lawsuit, Jolie described a situation that she says happened in 2016, when she, along with Pitt and their six children, flew on a private jet from France to Los Angeles. According to Jolie's testimony, there was a quarrel between her and Pitt on board, and Pitt allegedly tried to strangle one of their children and hit the other in the face, writes The Hollywood Reporter, citing court documents. As a result of the brawl, Jolie injured her back and elbow, the documents say. Moreover, the lawsuit also says that Pitt doused Jolie and the children with beer and wine.
Brad Pitt himself has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
