The mayor of Kaluga, Dmitry Denisov, said that they would not celebrate the New Year in the city because of the war and mobilization.
“I decided not to spend the municipal budget on the New Year decoration of the city. We will not hold fireworks, concerts and mass celebrations. We will direct all free funds to support the mobilized Kaluga residents, ”Denisov wrote.
According to him, the inhabitants of Kaluga "should be adequately equipped, better than the standard provision."
In early October, Baza wrote that in a military unit near Moscow in Alabino, newly mobilized Russians beat up “grandfathers” contract soldiers who tried to take away their equipment and mobile phones.
Even earlier it was reported that the mobilized Russians were offered to go to war with their quadrocopters and night vision devices. Also, a video was circulated on the network, in which a representative of a military unit in the Altai Territory advised conscripts to take care of themselves: buy hydrogen peroxide, tourniquets and even pads (they must be put into shoes), as well as tampons – to cover bullet wounds with them.
