According to Realnoe Vremya, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 2, art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempt to destroy or damage property”). The maximum penalty for such a charge is 3 years and 8 months in prison.
